I like knowing what happens inside things. That’s why I both write code and try to break it: to protect something, you first need to know how it gets broken.
Before writing code I make sure I understand the task: who will use it, what it needs and what could go wrong.
Security isn’t bolted on at the end. Sign-in, permissions and user data are thought through from the start.
I explain technical things without jargon. You always know what was done and why it was done that way.
Security moves fast. Every week I try something new and write down what I learn.
From 2023 to today: studies, first projects and what I’m digging into now.
Started a BSc in Cyber Security: University of Wolverhampton, UK, and International Digital University, Uzbekistan.
Started with plain HTML pages, then learned to build full interfaces with React and Next.js.
Wrote bots in Python and aiogram that take orders, keep data in a database and come with an admin panel.
Practised finding vulnerabilities in training labs and CTF challenges, and taking requests apart in Burp Suite.
Learned to put backend, frontend and server together: API, database, interface and Docker deployment.
Now
I’m in my third year and spend most of my free time taking programs apart with C, Assembly, Ghidra and GDB.
Theory in lectures, practice in projects.
What I use day to day, from programming languages to security tools.
Most of my time outside lectures goes here.
Opening a program without its source and working out what it really does. Solving crackmes in Ghidra and GDB.
How memory works and how it breaks: the stack, the heap, buffer overflows. All at the level of C and Assembly.
Where IDOR, XSS and SSRF come from, and how to close them in the code.
How packets travel and how a server is hardened. Wireshark, Nmap and a lot of terminal.
Write to me about a new project, a collaboration, or just to talk about technology.
